Thomas Rhett and Miranda Lambert Win Big At ACM Awards 2017


Who are the winners of the Academy of Country Music Awards 2017 have been announced in a ceremony conducted on the day of Sunday, April 2, 2017. The two superstars of country, Thomas Rhett and Miranda Lambert who came out as the two major winners at the event which took place at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

Thomas Rhett and Miranda Lambert each took home two trophies. Thomas Rhett beat names like Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban in Category Male Vocalist of the Year category. The 27-year-old singer looked surprised when his name was announced as the winner of the trophy that category and silent in his chair for a few seconds, shaking his head as if in disbelief, before finally taking the stage. Thomas Rhett also won the trophy for Song of the Year category of the evening thanks to his song, 'Die a Happy Man'.

Meanwhile Miranda Lambert won the trophy for Female Vocalist of the year were successfully achieved for 8 years in a row, after beating the other nominee, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Carrie Underwood. Miranda Lambert also won Album of the Year thanks to his album, "The Weight of Reviews These Wings".

Brother Osborne and Florida Georgia Line each also get two trophies. Osborne getting Vocal Duo of the Year Award, which means they broke the Florida Georgia Line feat which won the same trophy for three consecutive years, as well as the Top New Vocal Duo of the Year Award. Florida Georgia Line getting Single Record of the Year for 'H.O.L.Y.' and Vocal Event of the Year for their collaboration song with Tim McGraw, 'May We All'.
